Botswana: Witchcraft linked to BDP primary elections

Skeletons are tumbling out of Botswana Democratic Party’s (BDP) closet amid allegations that witchcraft was at the centre of campaigning in the 2013 primary elections.

In the latest revelation, some candidates in South East North are alleged to have resorted to the power of evil spirits that saw incumbent MP Olebile Gaborone lose the hotly contested Bulela Ditswe primary elections to his archrival Elijah Katse.
